Bigby’s Café and Restaurant: K-Style Chicken Fry

The K-Style Chicken Fry in spicy flavor is my favorite among the three K-Pop Foodie Goals set that Bigby’s Café and Restaurant recently launched.

Also available in sour garlic flavor, the K-Style Chicken Fry is gigantic in size and is good for 2 to 3 heads already. The spiciness of the chicken is just manageable though you can taste it up to its bones. Despite the chicken being soaked in sauce, it is still crispy with the meat cooked to perfection. The chicken meat is soft, aromatic, and savory.

Along with the K-Style Chicken Fry of Bigby’s Café and Restaurant are the Superstar Bulgogi and Aja Chapchae. All are indeed foodie goals and are perfect especially for those who love Korean food.

Gab’s Yard Steak House & Grill: Kare-Kare

Gab’s Yard Steak House & Grill is Koronadal’s newest hidden gem because of its mouth-watering steaks and other grilled food. But what I love about this place is their own version of the Kare-Kare.

Everything in the Kare-Kare is expertly cooked, from the vegetable to the meat they use and the sauce itself. Not to mention, the homemade alamang they used as an add on is a must try also. This famed Pinoy dish seems to have been perfected by Gab’s Yard Steak House & Grill making it one of the top dishes on my list of must try food in Koronadal City. And to be honest, I can finish two bowls if given the chance.

I can say that Gab’s Yard Steak House & Grill has the best Kare-Kare in Koronadal.  I have tried a lot of restos there, but theirs is so lit!

Snow Shack: Choco Brownie Bingsu

This Christmas season, Snow Shack is the perfect place to have your cold dessert fix with its mouth-watering bingsu.

Served in a tin cup, this flavored snow-like shaved ice is topped with delightful toppings and surrounded with syrup that is just begging to be tasted. Presentation wise, it was pleasant and luscious. The Choco Brownie Bingsu is covered with chocolate syrup and brownie chunks making its flavor quite strong and really sweet.

Snow Shack’s Choco Brownie Bingsu snow ice dessert is a must-try. There are a lot of flavors to choose from, and all of them are to die for.

Out of Nowhere: Asian Grilled Chicken

Smothered with sweet Asian sauce, this juicy and tender Asian Grilled Chicken is one of Out of Nowhere’s bestselling food items on their menu.

This Asian Grilled Chicken was grilled to perfect tenderness. However, it lacked flavor as it tasted bland, quite ordinary to be honest. I was expecting an exceptionally flavorful grilled chicken, yet I ended up disappointed.  Although it didn’t taste that bad but it was no different from the usual grilled chicken you can buy in your neighborhood.

Preparation wise, or how they served the food, it was above average as it looked delectable actually. Nevertheless, it wasn’t quite the kind of Asian Grilled Chicken I expected.

Bob Nowong Native Spirit: Chicharong Tilapia

One of Bob Nowong’s best dishes is the Chicharong Tilapia which is a finely cut Tilapia meat that is deep fried and mixed with fish crackers.

Bob Nowong Native Spirit is a must visit resto in Lake Sebu because of their scrumptious tilapia cuisines. Having a wide array of Tilapia dishes, the Chicharong Tilapia is definitely a real foodie favorite. Cooked with simplicity, each piece of Tilapia meat is loaded with flavour, but certainly not oily. A total piece of heaven that is so crispy yet has surprisingly tender meat on the inside.

More than just tilapia, Bob Nowong also have other dishes that I’ll be featuring here soon. Indeed, Bob Nowong Native Spirit sure has a lot to offer.

Yolks Flower Café & Cupcakery: Unicorn Strawberry Milkshake

A vibrantly colourful drink, this Unicorn Strawberry Milkshake is the new favorite thirst-quencher at Yolks Flower Café & Cupcakery.

An ombré beverage that appears to be a magical piece with kaleidoscopic layers of confections topped with whipped cream. I love how its sweetness does not overpower the other add ons on the cup making sure that the right balance of sweet and sour is achieved seamlessly, not to mention, that it is easy on the budget and is quite a picture perfect drink.

Yolks Flower Café & Cupcakery’s Unicorn Strawberry Milkshake will surely add sparkle to your soul and make your eyes giddy with happiness.

Boy Zugba: Cheesy Chorizo

Rich and juicy with a perfect cheesy surprise on the inside that explodes in your mouth, this Cheesy Chorizo from Boy Zugba is a surreal hit.

I always see this kind of combination on hotdogs but I didn’t realize that cheese would blend perfectly with chorizo as well. The chorizo per se didn’t have any odd odor, in fact, it tasted better than the ones available in the market. The cheese on the other hand was just so playful that it lingered in my mouth. The Cheesy Chorizo is chunkier than normal, no doubt this is why it is one of Boy Zugba’s bestsellers.

The Cheesy Chorizo although obviously presented like the usual and nothing special about it but it tastes really good and is a personal favorite, just the kind of dish that makes one happy.

Barrio Bistro: Three Cheese Pizza

.This Three Cheese Pizza from Barrio Bistro is the sole reason why I keep coming back to this pizza house from time to time. It’s thin, it’s affordable, and it’s cheesy!

Barrio Bistro is known because of their thin crust pizzas that is so affordable with no compromise on the taste. For a price of not more than P400, you get to enjoy a Buy 1 Take 1 offering of a variety of pizza flavors perfect for friends and family. This Three Cheese pizza is my favorite among all as it has a thin crispy crust that is overloaded with cheese on top, making every bite memorable.

Since all pizzas from Barrio Bistro are on a Buy 1 Take 1 offer, you can request two same flavors or two different flavours like Taco Mexicana and Three Cheese or Hawaian Delight and Pizza Overload at the same time

Henrich The Sticky Bibingka: Sticky Bibingka

Best paired with hot choco or matcha latte, Henrich’s Sticky Bibingka is a must try snack in GenSan and it is the favorite among the locals.

This Pinoy rice cake is not only affordable but is undeniably delicious, cooked to perfection from top to bottom. The flavor is not comparable to its size, because despite the thinness of the sticky bibingka, the taste seems like a giant scrumptious pie. Tastefully dawdling inside your mouth, the softness leaves an extra pleasure to match the sweetness of coconut shreds.

Henrich’s Sticky Bibingka is by far the best sticky bibingka I’ve tried and I can’t wait for the launching of its Ube flavor soon. I also heard that they’re working on opening their third store in GenSan.
