Disclaimer & Disclosure
Bad Cook Files is a personal food blog written by Gem Tadefa. Everything shared here is based on my own experiences, opinions, and preferences unless clearly stated otherwise.
Food is personal. Something I enjoy may not be something you enjoy, and experiences can change from one visit to another. Restaurants may also change their menus, prices, serving sizes, ingredients, operating hours, branches, and other details after a post has been published. I try to keep information accurate at the time I write it, but I cannot guarantee that everything will remain the same.
Reviews and Opinions
I write about food and places based on my actual experience with them. My opinions are my own and are not meant to represent the restaurant, brand, establishment, or anyone else involved.
Not every post here is a review. Sometimes I simply want to talk about something I ate, somewhere I visited, a snack I discovered, or a meal I happened to enjoy.
And yes, taste is subjective. You are completely allowed to love something I didn’t, or wonder what I was thinking when I loved something you hated.
Invitations, Freebies, and Sponsored Content
From time to time, I may be invited to restaurants, events, tastings, or other food-related experiences. I may also receive complimentary meals, products, vouchers, samples, or other items from brands and establishments.
Some content may also be paid or sponsored.
When there is a material relationship behind a post, I will disclose it. Receiving something for free or being paid to create content does not automatically mean a positive review. What I write remains based on my experience and opinion.
If something is sponsored, paid, gifted, hosted, or part of a collaboration, I’ll make that clear where appropriate.
Affiliate Links
Some posts may contain affiliate links. If you purchase something through one of these links, I may receive a small commission or other benefit at no additional cost to you.
The presence of an affiliate link does not change what I think about a product, place, or experience.
Cooking and Food Information
Despite the name, Bad Cook Files is not a professional cooking or nutrition resource.
Any cooking attempts, methods, ingredients, food suggestions, or other information I share are based on my own experience. Please use your own judgment, especially when it comes to food preparation, allergies, dietary restrictions, food safety, and other individual needs.
If you somehow came here expecting professional cooking advice, the name of the blog was your first warning.
Photos and Content
Unless otherwise credited, the original writing and photographs published on Bad Cook Files belong to me. Please do not reproduce, republish, or use them commercially without permission.
Sharing links to my posts is always welcome. If you would like to use a photo, excerpt, or other material, please contact me first.
Keeping Things Transparent
At the end of the day, Bad Cook Files exists because I enjoy food and I enjoy writing about it.
Some meals I pay for myself. Some may be invitations. Some products may be sent to me. Some collaborations may be paid. Whatever the situation, I want the distinction to be clear.
A free meal can pay for dinner. It cannot buy my opinion.
